Laurie Renton is the founder of LR Future Insurance and Investments, which she launched in 1994 with a vision rooted in genuine connection with clients, teams, and community. For Laurie, business was never just about financial success; it was about enriching lives by weaving values, personality insights, and future-focused ideas into every relationship.

Over 27 years, she became a cornerstone in her community, contributing to organizations such as the Yorkton Business Improvement District, Habitat for Humanity, Women Entrepreneurs – Parkland Chapter, and the Ventures Community Futures Board.

After selling her financial firm, Laurie chose to “ReFire” rather than retire — creating LR Coaching & Leadership Development. Blending personal growth with professional leadership, she now works with individuals, groups, and small business teams to spark transformation from the inside out. As a certified Points of You® Business Trainer, Laurie uses image-based tools and experiential processes to inspire creativity, deepen emotional intelligence, and strengthen communication.

Her work is also grounded in 17 years of studying and applying the Enneagram of Personalities, helping others understand themselves and build stronger, more compassionate teams. Guided by Buckminster Fuller’s wisdom to “build new models rather than fix old ones,” Laurie leads with innovation, curiosity, and heart.

Laurie’s leadership has been recognized with honors including the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, the Yorkton Chamber’s Community Involvement Award, and the Visionary Award at the Yorkton Short Film Festival.

Now living full-time at Burgis Beach with her partner Rob, Laurie continues to build community with her motto: “Be the change you wish to see in the world of business.” And always, she’s known for her signature Heart-to-Heart Hugs.
