A Warm Welcome From Our Team
Across five countries and five different lived experiences, our team is united by one purpose: to support conscious, intentional leadership in a changing world. Each month, we share insights designed to spark reflection, offer fresh perspectives, and gently down‑regulate the stress that so often accompanies leadership.
Our hope is that these tools expand your view of what’s possible, and that you take what is offered and turn it into the opportunities that matter to you. We’re honoured to walk this path alongside you.

Remaining Relevant in The 21st Century
Expanding Human Horizons in the Age of AI
The real opportunity in the 21st century isn’t learning how to compete with AI — it’s learning how to think with it. Humans bring lived experience, intuition, emotional intelligence, and the ability to interpret meaning. AI brings speed, pattern recognition, and the capacity to expand your thinking far beyond what one mind can hold. When you combine the two, you create a level of clarity, creativity, and capability that neither could achieve alone.
Staying Relevant in the Age of AI
Relevance today isn’t about competing with AI — it’s about partnering with it. Humans bring meaning, judgment, and lived experience. AI brings speed and expanded perspective. Together, they create clearer thinking and better decisions than either could alone.
This is not about replacing your thinking. It’s about amplifying it.
Spotlight:
This Month’s Experience
This month’s Spotlight contribution comes from a member of the team who lives and works in South Africa.
When a senior leader panicked that we had scoped a project incorrectly, and the team hesitated to take ownership, I chose a different response: I stayed calm, anchored in the facts, and focused on clarity rather than fear. Remember there are going to be projects you have never done before but through research, curiosity and learning, you will get there.
What I noticed was that panic spreads quickly, but so does composure. By holding steady, the conversation shifted from blame to problem‑solving.
Why it mattered: Leadership is not about avoiding mistakes, but about how we respond when uncertainty arises. Calm focus creates space for truth, accountability, and collective confidence to emerge.
Each month, we’ll continue to feature one reflection that supports our collective learning, drawing from the rich experiences contributed by the whole GPL team.
Behind the scenes
What we are working on
Alongside preparing for our June webinar on Authentic Self‑Leadership, our team has been shaping the next phase of our work, a developing series that explores how leaders reconnect with what feels true, not just what feels urgent. We’re breaking this into smaller, more accessible pieces so the learning can unfold gently over time.
Across our five countries, we’re noticing shared themes emerging: the power of pausing, the courage to choose differently, and the quiet moments that shift everything. These insights are guiding the series as it takes shape, and we look forward to sharing more as it evolves.
Leadership Insight
of the Month:
Peace as the Presence of Justice
Across many countries, leaders are recognising that peace is not only about the absence of conflict, it is also about the presence of justice, fairness, and dignity. In business environments of all kinds, this means moving beyond surface‑level harmony and addressing the deeper conditions that allow people to feel respected, safe, and valued.
Authentic self‑leadership asks us to create spaces where truth can be spoken without fear and where accountability is held with compassion.
In everyday leadership, this looks like noticing when “keeping the peace” is actually masking discomfort or inequity, and choosing instead to engage with clarity and courage.
When we ground ourselves first, we can hold these conversations without defensiveness, and that steadiness becomes a quiet form of justice in itself.
A 60‑Second Practice for Peace and Justice in Leadership
Pause Take one slow breath before responding or deciding. This interrupts urgency and brings you back into presence.
Check for Justice Ask yourself quietly: “Is this peace, or is this avoidance?” or “Is everyone safe to speak here?” This helps you notice when “keeping the peace” is masking discomfort or inequity.
Choose One Small Act of Justice A gentle action that increases fairness or clarity:
invite a quieter voice in
name something that feels “off” with kindness
clarify expectations so no one is left guessing
ask, “What would make this feel fair for everyone?”
Ground Before You Act One hand on the desk, one slow exhale.
This steadies your nervous system so your action comes from clarity, not reactivity.
Community Moment… Coming soon
We’re opening this space to share moments from our wider Global Positive Links community, the small shifts, insights, or experiences that are helping you lead with presence, courage, and authenticity in your own environments.
We will begin featuring these soon. If you have a moment you’d like to share, we would love to hear from you, you can reach us at: connect@globalpositivelinks.com or through the contact form on our website.
From time to time, we’ll offer a complimentary 30‑minute session to a community member whose shared moment helps deepen our collective learning
Resources & Extras
As we prepare for our June webinar on Authentic Self‑Leadership, here are a few ways you can deepen your practice this month, and ways we can support you if you would like to go further:
A Self‑Leadership Check‑In: “What part of me is leading today — pressure, habit, or clarity?”
A simple way to reconnect with yourself before making decisions.
A Micro‑Boundary Practice: Choose one small boundary to honour this week — a pause, a limit, or a “not right now. These tiny acts build the muscle of authentic self‑leadership.
If You’d Like Support: We offer 1:1 leadership conversations, team workshops, and bespoke programmes for organisations and business environments exploring conscious leadership, psychological safety, and culture transformation.
If you’d like to explore what might support you or your team, you can reach us at connect@globalpositivelinks.com
We hope these small practices offer moments of clarity and steadiness as you move through your week.
What’s Coming Next at Global Positive Links
On June 2nd, we open the first experience in our Authentic Leadership Series, a gentle, spacious hour designed for leaders who want to reconnect with themselves before they lead others. This isn’t a workshop full of tools or techniques. It is a moment to pause, breathe, and notice what’s really happening beneath the surface of “busy.”
If you’ve been sensing a shift in how you want to lead, or simply feeling the pace of the year, this experience offers a chance to realign with what feels true. It’s an invitation to step into leadership that is grounded, aware, and deeply human.
We would love you to join us as we begin this journey together.
Closing Note
Thank you for being part of this growing community of leaders who are choosing presence, courage, and quiet transformation in their everyday environments. Each month, we’re reminded that leadership is not a performance, it’s a practice. A series of small, grounded choices that shape how we show up for ourselves and one another.
As you move through the weeks ahead, may you find moments of clarity, steadiness, and alignment, and may those moments ripple gently into the spaces you lead.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
